About Perspect

Built to replace spreadsheet-heavy private capital operations with something more structured, more governed, and more usable

Perspect exists because too many serious investment teams still run critical workflows across spreadsheets, email chains, shared folders, and disconnected tools that were never designed to work together properly. Portfolio oversight lives in one file. Investor reporting lives somewhere else. Deal workflow sits in a tracker. CRM context is incomplete. Governance is often a matter of process discipline rather than system design.

Prism was created to replace that fragmented operating model with a connected platform built specifically for private capital. The aim is simple: give investment teams a better way to manage portfolio analytics, deal workflow, CRM and relationship data, investor reporting, approvals, and LP access without forcing them into a year-long enterprise software implementation.

This is not software built for generic sales pipelines or consumer finance. It is built for firms that need stronger control, cleaner data, better reporting discipline, and a more coherent way to run the work around funds, assets, investors, and operating decisions.

Built by Someone Who Lived the Problem

Perspect was founded by a technology leader from the infrastructure fund management world who saw the same pattern repeatedly inside real firms: the tools that were supposed to solve operational complexity were often too expensive, too slow to implement, too generic, or too painful to use. As a result, the real work kept happening in Excel.

That gap is what Prism is designed to close. The platform exists because institutional-grade operating workflows should not require six-figure software budgets, heavyweight implementation programmes, or a permanent dependence on fragile spreadsheets that only one or two people truly understand.

The starting point was not “how do we build another finance SaaS product?” It was “what tool should have existed already for the teams actually doing this work?” That is why Prism focuses so heavily on practical, connected workflows rather than surface-level feature theatre.

What Perspect Builds

Perspect builds Prism, a connected operating platform for private capital teams. Prism is designed to bring together the parts of the operating model that too often live in separate systems: portfolio management, deal dashboard and workflow, CRM and relationship management, reporting and AI-assisted workflows, investor portal access, and governance controls.

The product is intended for organisations such as private equity firms, venture capital teams, infrastructure fund managers, family offices, and other investment businesses that need better structure and visibility than spreadsheets and disconnected software can offer.

At its core, Prism is about replacing manual reconciliation and fragmented process with a more coherent system. That means fewer duplicated records, cleaner reporting, stronger auditability, and a better operational experience for both internal teams and external stakeholders.

What We Believe Good Software Should Feel Like

Institutional in Method, Practical in Delivery

Prism is designed to bring institutional-grade structure to firms that do not want institutional-grade implementation pain. The platform is meant to be serious in its methodology, but straightforward in how it is adopted and used.

Connected, Not Cobbled Together

We believe the value of an operating platform comes from the way its parts work together. Portfolio data, deal workflow, relationship records, investor reporting, approvals, and LP access should reinforce each other, not compete with each other across different systems.

Clearer Control Without More Friction

Governance matters, but it should not require endless manual policing. Prism is built around the idea that stronger controls, clearer audit trails, and better role boundaries should come from the system design itself, not from hoping everyone remembers the process perfectly.

Honest Product, Honest Commercial Model

Perspect’s view is that private capital software should be clearer, fairer, and less bloated. The technology should be modern. The value proposition should be understandable. And the price should reflect real use rather than the assumption that every buyer must tolerate enterprise software overhead.

Independent by Design

Perspect is based in London and built as an independent software business. We do not believe good product decisions come from optimising for vanity growth at the expense of clarity, reliability, or customer fit.

That is why Perspect is independent and funded by its customers rather than by venture capital. It keeps the incentives straightforward: build a product that genuinely solves the problem, charge fairly for it, and keep improving it in ways that matter to the people actually using it.

For customers, that means the product roadmap is shaped by operational usefulness and long-term credibility, not by a need to create artificial complexity or feature sprawl just to satisfy a funding narrative.

Who Prism Is For

Prism is built for investment organisations that are sophisticated enough to feel the cost of fragmented systems, but practical enough to want something cleaner and faster than a traditional heavyweight enterprise rollout.

That includes firms managing private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, and related strategies where portfolio visibility, deal workflow, investor reporting, relationship data, and controlled access all need to work together. In these environments, the problem is rarely a total lack of software. It is that the software stack does not behave like a single operating model.

Prism is particularly aligned to teams that want stronger process control and better reporting without committing to the cost, delay, and operational drag that often come with large incumbent platforms.

What Buyers Should Expect from Perspect

We know that in private capital and financial software, buyers are not only evaluating features. They are evaluating credibility. They need to understand who they are buying from, what the product is for, how the business operates, and whether the vendor feels like a serious long-term partner.

That is why Perspect is building not just a product, but a clearer operating proposition around it: a transparent pricing model, a live demo environment, a detailed security and compliance position, and a platform narrative grounded in real private capital workflows rather than generic SaaS language.

If you are evaluating Prism, you should expect a product that is opinionated about structure, serious about governance, and focused on making complicated operating work simpler without pretending that private capital is a generic use case.

Where We Are Going

Perspect’s focus is to keep improving Prism as a genuinely connected operating platform. That means continuing to strengthen the areas that matter most to serious investment teams: portfolio oversight, reporting, investor experience, CRM and relationship workflows, approvals, auditability, and controlled AI-assisted workflows that remove effort without weakening judgement.

The aim is not to build software for its own sake. It is to keep reducing the operational drag that comes from disconnected tools and to make Prism more useful, more credible, and more durable for the firms that rely on it.

We are building for teams that want modern software, real structure, and a better answer than “it’s in the spreadsheet somewhere.”
