Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use an online application. They help websites and applications work correctly, keep users signed in, remember choices, support security controls and, where permitted, help website owners understand how visitors use their site.

This Cookie Policy explains how Perspect Services Ltd (“Perspect”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies across the Perspect website and Prism platform.

In this policy, “cookies” also includes similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, pixels, tags and other browser-based storage mechanisms where relevant.

2. Where This Policy Applies

This Cookie Policy applies to cookies and similar technologies used on:

  • perspect.finance — the Perspect marketing and information website;
  • prism.perspect.finance — the Prism Cloud application;
  • prismdemo.perspect.finance — the Prism demonstration environment;
  • related Perspect-controlled pages, services and subdomains that link to this policy.

If Prism is provided through a private deployment, local deployment, private cloud deployment or customer-controlled environment, cookie behaviour may differ depending on the deployment model, domain, identity provider, security configuration and customer-controlled infrastructure. In those cases, the customer may need its own cookie or privacy notices for the deployed environment.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

We use a limited number of cookie categories. Some are strictly necessary for the website or platform to work. Others, such as analytics cookies, are only used where consent is provided.

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are required for core website, application, security, authentication and session functionality. These cookies cannot normally be disabled through our cookie banner because the relevant service cannot operate properly without them.

These cookies may be used to:

  • Keep platform users signed in during a session;
  • Authenticate requests to Prism Cloud or the demo environment;
  • Protect forms, sessions and application requests from misuse;
  • Remember whether a user has accepted or declined optional cookies;
  • Support security, bot protection, abuse prevention and rate limiting;
  • Maintain basic website and application functionality.

3.2 Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Perspect marketing website. They may show which pages are viewed, how long visitors spend on pages, which devices or browsers are used, and how visitors move through the site.

Analytics cookies are used only where consent is provided. They are intended to help us improve website content, navigation and performance. We do not use analytics cookies to sell personal data or to build advertising profiles.

3.3 Security and Infrastructure Cookies

Some cookies may be set by infrastructure or security providers, such as Cloudflare or similar services, to help protect the website and platform from malicious traffic, automated abuse, denial-of-service attempts, suspicious requests or other security risks.

3.4 Authentication and Application Storage

The Prism application may use cookies, local storage or session storage to support authentication, session handling, application state and secure platform workflows. Exact names and storage mechanisms may vary by environment, browser, deployment configuration and platform release.

4. Cookie Table

The table below describes the main types of cookies and similar technologies that may be used. Exact cookie names may vary as the website, platform and infrastructure providers evolve.

Cookie or Storage Type Set By Purpose Typical Duration
Authentication/session cookies Perspect / Prism Used to keep authenticated users signed in, validate secure requests and maintain platform sessions. Session-based or limited-duration token expiry
Cookie consent preference Perspect / website cookie banner Records whether optional analytics cookies were accepted or declined, so the banner does not need to be shown on every visit. Usually up to 12 months
Cloudflare security cookies Cloudflare or similar infrastructure provider Used for bot protection, rate limiting, traffic security, session validation and network protection. Usually session-based to short duration, depending on provider configuration
Google Analytics cookies Google Analytics, where enabled and accepted Used to understand website traffic, visitor behaviour, page performance and content effectiveness on the Perspect marketing website. Typically up to 2 years depending on configuration
Local or session storage Perspect / Prism May be used to support application state, user interface preferences, session continuity or secure application flows. Session-based or until cleared by the user/browser, depending on use

5. Cookies We Do Not Use

We do not currently use cookies for:

  • Third-party advertising networks;
  • Behavioural advertising profiles;
  • Retargeting across unrelated websites;
  • Sale of personal data;
  • Social media tracking pixels embedded for advertising purposes;
  • Browser fingerprinting intended to identify users without cookies.

If this changes, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required, request consent before setting non-essential cookies.

6. Google Analytics

Where enabled, we may use Google Analytics or a similar analytics service on perspect.finance to understand how visitors interact with the marketing website. Analytics cookies are optional and should only be set where a user has consented through the cookie banner.

Analytics data may include page views, session duration, approximate location derived from IP address, device information, browser information and referral information. We use this data to improve the website and understand which content is useful to visitors.

Google may process analytics data in the United States or other jurisdictions. Further information about how Google processes data is available in Google’s own privacy materials.

7. Prism Platform Cookies

The Prism platform and demonstration environment use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to support login, session handling, secure application requests and core platform functionality. These technologies are required for the platform to work.

Prism Cloud and the demo environment may also use infrastructure security cookies to protect against automated abuse, suspicious traffic or attacks. These are treated as necessary for security and service operation.

Optional analytics cookies are intended for the Perspect marketing website. We do not use analytics cookies to sell user data or create advertising profiles.

8. Private Deployment Cookies

Where Prism is deployed as a standalone private deployment, local deployment, private cloud deployment or customer-controlled deployment, cookie behaviour may depend on:

  • The customer’s chosen domain or internal network address;
  • The configured identity provider or SSO system;
  • Customer infrastructure, security tooling or monitoring systems;
  • Deployment-specific authentication and session settings;
  • Any customer-controlled analytics, logging or security tools.

For private deployments, the customer may be responsible for providing its own cookie notices or employee/user privacy notices where required by law.

9. Your Cookie Choices

9.1 Cookie Banner

When you first visit the Perspect marketing website, you may be shown a cookie banner allowing you to accept or decline optional analytics cookies. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled through the banner because they are required for the site or platform to function.

9.2 Withdrawing Consent

You can withdraw consent to analytics cookies by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the website, or by using any cookie preference tool made available on the site.

9.3 Browser Controls

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block cookies, delete cookies, block third-party cookies or receive warnings before cookies are stored.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Prism platform, demo environment or parts of the website from working correctly, including login, session continuity and secure form submission.

9.4 Google Analytics Opt-Out

You can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data across websites by using Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where available.

10. Legal Basis for Cookie Use

Our use of cookies is governed by PECR and UK GDPR where applicable.

  • Strictly necessary cookies: These do not require consent under PECR where they are essential to provide a service requested by the user. The related processing may rely on performance of a contract and/or legitimate interests, such as security and platform operation.
  • Security cookies: These may be necessary to protect the website, platform, users and infrastructure from malicious or abusive activity.
  • Analytics cookies: These require consent before being set. You can withdraw consent at any time.

11. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in cookies, analytics tools, infrastructure providers, Prism deployment models, legal requirements or platform functionality. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
