General
About Prism and Perspect
Prism is Perspect’s enterprise investment operations platform for finance and investment teams. It brings portfolio oversight, deal workflow, CRM, reporting, investor portal access, approvals, audit logging, tenant branding, integrations and controlled AI assistance into one connected environment.
Perspect is the company that builds and operates Prism. The Perspect website explains the product, commercial options, security posture, deployment routes, legal terms and supporting resources for organisations evaluating Prism.
Prism is designed for private equity firms, venture capital teams, infrastructure investors, fund managers, fund-of-funds, family offices and investment operations teams that need stronger governance, structured reporting and a more connected operating model than spreadsheets and disconnected tools can provide. It is a B2B enterprise product, not a consumer product.
Yes. A live Prism demo environment is available at prismdemo.perspect.finance with example funds, portfolios, deals, LP records, documents and reporting workflows. It lets prospective users explore the product before choosing a Prism Cloud plan or discussing private deployment.
The Prism demo contains example data and is intended for evaluation. The live Prism product at prism.perspect.finance is the production platform where real tenant data is managed. Demo activity should not be treated as production use, and demo data should not be used for real investment operations.
Yes. Prism is currently available in English. The platform interface, reporting outputs, investor portal experience and documentation are currently written in English.
Prism supports multi-currency portfolio and fund data with base-currency context and FX-aware reporting workflows. Subscription billing for Prism Cloud is listed in GBP. Organisations with special billing requirements should contact Perspect directly.
Platform
What Prism does and how it works
Prism includes portfolio management, deal dashboard and pipeline workflows, CRM and relationship management, investor portal access, reporting and report packs, AI-assisted workflows, enterprise SSO, approval workflows, audit logging, tenant branding, white-labelling options, custom fields, API access, webhooks, fee and carry workflows, capital calls, closings and bulk CSV import.
Yes. Core, Professional and Enterprise all include the full Prism platform. The standard Prism Cloud plans differ by internal seats and Investor Portal viewer capacity, not by locked modules.
The Investor Portal gives LPs a restricted, read-oriented environment scoped to their investor relationship. Fund managers control the documents, fund data and portal materials made available to each investor audience. Portal access is designed to reduce unsecured email distribution and repetitive document requests.
Prism is designed as a tenant-isolated platform. Each client organisation operates within its own tenant boundary. Fund records, CRM data, documents, reports, settings, branding, AI configuration and portal access are scoped to the relevant tenant and user permissions.
Yes. Prism supports OIDC-based single sign-on for enterprise identity providers such as Microsoft Azure AD, Okta, Google Workspace and other OIDC-compatible providers. Where configured, users authenticate through their organisation’s identity provider and can inherit corporate MFA controls.
Prism’s AI features are designed to assist with document extraction, report commentary, data interpretation and operational analysis. AI outputs are intended to support user review, not replace professional judgement or automatically publish durable finance records without human control.
Yes. Prism supports custom fields and configurable tenant-level settings so teams can capture firm-specific data across funds, portfolio companies, contacts, organisations, LP records, deal records and related workflows.
Yes. Prism supports data movement through bulk CSV import, structured exports, API-key ingest, outbound webhooks and BI-friendly export pathways. See the Integrations and Data Exchange page for more detail.
Yes. Prism includes approval workflows for sensitive operational actions such as deal progression, report publication, document workflows and finance-related changes. Approval decisions can be logged as part of the governance and audit trail.
Pricing
Plans, seats and what’s included
Prism Cloud has three standard plans: Core, Professional and Enterprise. Core is £790/year or £79/month. Professional is £1,990/year or £199/month. Enterprise is £4,990/year or £499/month. Prices are listed in GBP and exclude any applicable VAT or taxes.
Every Prism Cloud plan includes the full platform. Core includes up to 5 internal seats and 25 Investor Portal viewers. Professional includes up to 15 internal seats and 75 Investor Portal viewers. Enterprise includes up to 50 internal seats and unlimited Investor Portal viewers.
Yes. There is no module gating between Core, Professional and Enterprise. The difference between Prism Cloud plans is seat capacity and Investor Portal viewer capacity, not access to product areas.
An internal seat is a named user with access to the main Prism platform, such as a fund manager, analyst, finance user, administrator or operations user. An Investor Portal viewer is an LP or external stakeholder with restricted portal access. Portal viewers do not consume internal seat allocations.
Enterprise customers can add internal seats above the included 50-seat limit at £25 per seat per month. Core and Professional customers that need more than their included internal seats should upgrade to Enterprise.
Yes. Annual billing gives roughly two months free compared with monthly billing over a full year. Core monthly billing would be £948 over 12 months, compared with £790 annually. Professional monthly billing would be £2,388 over 12 months, compared with £1,990 annually. Enterprise monthly billing would be £5,988 over 12 months, compared with £4,990 annually.
Prism does not offer a free trial. A fully functional live demo environment is available at prismdemo.perspect.finance with example data so prospective customers can explore the platform before subscribing or discussing deployment.
You can upgrade your Prism Cloud plan at any time. The new plan takes effect immediately and the price difference is calculated pro-rata for the remainder of your billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period and may require reducing active users or portal viewers first.
Deployment
Prism Cloud and private deployment
Prism is offered as Prism Cloud, the managed SaaS version of the platform. Perspect can also discuss standalone private deployment for organisations that need Prism to run locally, in a private cloud or inside a customer-controlled environment.
No. The Pricing page lists Prism Cloud plans only. Private deployment is scoped separately because environment, hosting, maintenance, support, security review and procurement requirements vary by organisation.
Private deployment is for organisations with stricter data-control, hosting, network, security, internal procurement or regulatory review requirements. It may suit teams that cannot use standard SaaS for sensitive investment operations data.
Private deployment can be discussed as a standalone or customer-controlled deployment model. The exact split of responsibilities for hosting, updates, monitoring, backup, support and maintenance should be agreed as part of the deployment scope.
Yes. Some organisations may evaluate Prism through the demo or Prism Cloud first, then discuss private deployment once internal security, procurement or data-control requirements are clearer.
See the Deployment Options page for a clearer comparison between Prism Cloud and private deployment, or contact Perspect to discuss your organisation’s requirements.
Billing
Payments, invoices and cancellations
Yes. Payment by invoice and bank transfer can be arranged for organisations that require procurement-led billing. Contact Perspect before subscribing so the appropriate billing process can be set up.
Annual subscriptions are billed as a single payment at the start of the subscription year. Annual billing gives roughly two months free compared with the equivalent monthly rate over a full year.
Prism Cloud subscriptions are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing. If you cancel, access continues until the end of the current paid billing period. Full terms are set out in the Terms of Service.
You can cancel your subscription by providing written notice to Perspect or using cancellation functionality within the Prism platform where available. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period.
Your access continues until the end of the paid subscription period. Data retention, export windows and deletion timing are governed by the current Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Customers should request or complete any required export during the applicable retention window.
Yes. Prism is designed to support data export workflows for portfolio data, CRM records, reports and operational outputs. If you need assistance with a full export before cancellation, contact Perspect during your active subscription or retention window.
If a scheduled payment fails, Perspect may notify the account administrator and provide an opportunity to resolve the payment issue before access is suspended. Persistent non-payment may result in termination in accordance with the Terms of Service.
Security
Data protection, encryption and controls
Prism is designed around tenant isolation, authenticated access, role-based permissions, controlled document workflows, audit logging, encrypted infrastructure and secure application routes. The Security and Compliance page explains the controls in more detail.
Prism is operated with UK data protection requirements in mind, including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Details of processing activities, retention, processors, lawful bases and data subject rights are set out in the Privacy Policy.
Prism Cloud is hosted using Perspect-managed infrastructure and service providers. Private deployment can be discussed for organisations that require a customer-controlled hosting model or specific data-location requirements.
Prism audit logging is designed to record important platform activity such as record changes, authentication events, document access, approvals, report generation, exports and configuration updates. Audit trails support internal governance, operational oversight and compliance review.
Prism is built around tenant-scoped data access. Fund records, documents, reports, CRM data, portal access, settings and AI configuration are associated with the relevant organisation and user permissions.
Yes. Perspect can review security questionnaires, vendor due diligence requests and data processing agreement queries. Contact Perspect through the contact form or email [email protected] with the relevant request.
Where enterprise SSO is configured, MFA can be enforced by the connected identity provider, such as Azure AD, Okta or Google Workspace. Prism can inherit corporate identity controls through the OIDC authentication flow.
Getting Started
Setup, onboarding and first steps
You can explore the demo first, then select a Prism Cloud plan on the Pricing page. After subscribing, the tenant administrator can configure users, roles, branding, SSO, settings and platform workflows.
Use the contact form and explain your deployment requirements, including whether you need local hosting, private cloud deployment, customer-controlled infrastructure, procurement review, security review or specific data-control requirements.
Yes. Prism supports bulk CSV import and field mapping for structured migration into the platform. Teams can use this to bring across fund records, portfolio companies, LP and GP records, commitments, contacts and other operating data.
SSO is configured by a tenant administrator using the organisation’s OIDC identity provider details, such as issuer URL, client ID and client secret. Prism supports OIDC-compatible providers including Azure AD, Okta and Google Workspace.
To set up the Investor Portal, create portal user accounts, link them to the relevant LP or investor records, configure document visibility, publish the relevant materials and apply branding where appropriate.
Tenant branding is configured inside Prism settings. Organisations can apply logos, colours and presentation settings to create a more branded internal experience and Investor Portal experience.
Implementation support depends on the plan, deployment route and complexity of the organisation’s requirements. Enterprise customers and private deployment discussions may involve more detailed onboarding, migration, SSO, procurement or security review support.
